Town looking for public feedback on new Parks and Recreation Master Plan.

The Town of Fort Macleod is pleased to announce that McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. was selected to develop the Town’s new Parks and Recreation Master Plan. In the development of the plan, input and feedback is being collected from the public, Town staff and community groups in order to identify needs and priorities related to parks, recreation, and cultural services within the Town of Fort Macleod. Surveys were mailed out to residents and have been available on-line through both the Town website and Facebook page since November 10, 2016. We have had great response from these surveys and in Conjunction with the Surveys a community wide Invitation is going out asking any interested residents to attend a Community Input Session at the Public Library, November 30th, 2016 from 6:30 – 8:00pm.

“The Parks and Recreation Master Plan will aid in enhancing the quality of life for residents through providing quality recreation opportunities for people of all ages,” says Gary Debney, planner with McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. “It will also aim to strengthen community pride and help create new tourism opportunities in Fort Macleod.”
