Are you saying that the town of Macleod has ownership of its own distribution grid and has never invested in regeneration of a relatively free resources like hydro, solar and | or wind , which it has plenty of to sell back into the power pool?

I am with Jim Wharton, the NDP government was talking about incentives to go solar beffore the Fort McMurray fire happened. I still think there will be money come available for small towns and we need to keep on top of this. The very idea of privatizing this resource is beyond belief. And there was no study on the value we would just let them say what they will pay and then add these costs onto our bills. How much do we rent them for now, or is it a freebee for Fortis? Honestly this would be something we would come to regret IMHO. see www.albertacanada.com/business/industries/bp-gbpt-government-initiatives.aspx

Sell it with a provision (caveat) that it be fixed and with a time line of no more than one year.

Sell it !
