The Town of Fort Macleod is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with the relevant experience to join our team as Family Community Support Services Coordinator (F.C.S.S. Coordinator). The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation of programs and services, according to the Alberta Government’s FCSS program, and work with the community towards fulfilling the priorities identified in the FCSS programming. In addition, the successful candidate will exemplify a strong understanding of the Fort Macleod and surrounding communities that utilize FCSS services.
The successful candidate will represent FCSS on community boards and any other community-based partnerships that deliver social preventative programs designed to enhance the quality of life and respond to the needs of residents.
This position is in a busy, open area office space. This is a demanding position which requires meeting deadlines, and the capability adjusting to numerous interruptions during the day.
This position is based on 35 hours per week.
Anticipated Salary Range: $54,500- $65,000
- Previous experience in Community Development preferred.
- Post-secondary education in the Human Services field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience in Community Service programming.
- Prior supervisory experience.
- Previous experience developing preventative social programs.
- Experience with vulnerable clients is an asset.
