Description

Fort Macleod Housing and Community Connects Project is seeking a Housing Liaison Worker.

The Housing Liaison Worker coordinates and manages client services to support families and individuals who may be experiencing unstable housing or at risk of becoming homeless. This individual helps to secure appropriate housing, makes referrals to service agencies, and organizes community presentations to promote and advocate for safe and secure housing for community members. The Housing Liaison Worker has a clear understanding of the factors that put people at risk and what supports are available to rural communities. This individual can work independently while being an effective team player and highly skilled communicator.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Social Work is preferred, registered if applicable with the Alberta College of Social Workers.
  • Three to Five years of professional experience working with marginalized and at-risk populations in the human services files is an asset. Case management practise and experience is preferred.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and client record management.

This contract position is funded by the Reaching Home grant from the Gov’t of Canada, ending Feb. 2024.
