Hours: Meetings are the first Friday of every month, ride twice a month on Friday evenings.
Mission: At the club level 4-H’ers “Learn to Do by Doing” through their projects. A 4-H project is: planned work in an area of interest to the 4-H member; guided by a volunteer who is a project leader; aimed at objectives that can be attained and measured; summarized by some form of record keeping; displayed for club members and the community on achievement day. By working in a club, members develop meaningful associations with adults and learn how to conduct business meetings. Clubs also encourage members to work and learn together. Many activities are offered that improve self-confidence and communication skills. At the club level 4-H’ers are also involved in community projects, recreation and social activities. 4-H is: a part of your community, learning by doing, decision making, responsibility, adaptable, real life experience, and a family affair.
Activities: Host a trail ride each year; host club public speaking competition; bring in trainers for clinics; interclub activities; host annual open horse show first weekend in June; Southern Alberta Equestrian Council conducts classes at horse show.
