Mission: A home visitation program targeting families with children ages 0-3 years. The Home Visitor assists individuals and families in recognizing their strengths, helps them set goals, assists parents in determining their support systems, connect families with community resources, and provides information and activities on child development. In addition the program can offer specialized services and programming for pregnant women with substance abuse issues, women who have been diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder and for women who have given birth to a child with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.
Activities: Weekly home visits by a trained family home visitor. Participation is voluntary. The Home Visitor can offer home visits that support parents, activities to help your baby learn, support that links families to the community resources, problem solving strategies, advocacy when accessing other supports and transportation to essential medical services.
