Mission: The Fort Macleod Skate Park is a youth initiative that stared as a part of a community visioning process in September 2000. The Skate Park has the following objectives: To provide a facility for local youth, which challenges beginner, intermediate and some advanced level of skateboarders and in-line skaters with jumps, ramps, rails, curbs and other obstacles; To promote development in skateboarding and in-line skating; To promote safety on wheels; To create an environment where youth have the opportunity to play their sport without interfering or impeding the other towns people in public areas; To provide youth and parents a lively place to gather and play; To enhance skill development in other existing sports.
Activities: Skills and Safety Clinics, on going fund raising for purchasing and maintenance of the equipment.
