The Municipal Government Act grants Town Council the power to pass bylaws. Bylaws are created to address the issues and concerns of the people of the Fort Macleod community. Municipal Bylaw Enforcement Officers and Development Officers enforce these Bylaws.

To pass a Bylaw, Town Council must give three readings at Council meetings. The public is encouraged to be engaged and partake in Public Participation.

The following bylaws are the most frequently requested Bylaws. If you need more information regarding Fort Macleod Bylaws, please get in touch with the Town Office at 403-553-4425 or admin@fortmacleod.com
