What is this notice about?
The Town of Fort Macleod is updating Bylaw No. 1993 related to the Built Heritage Advisory Board. This board is already in place and helps protect and conserve historic buildings and landmarks in the community. The bylaw update clarifies the board’s role and responsibilities.
What is changing?
Key updates to the bylaw include:
- Expanded membership eligibility – Previously, board membership was very restrictive, making it difficult to recruit members. The update allows more flexibility for appointing members-at-large.
