What is this notice about?

The Town of Fort Macleod is reconvening a public hearing for Bylaw No. 2000, which proposes a major update to the Land Use Bylaw. This update reorganizes and modernizes the bylaw to better support development, land use, and planning in the community.

Note: This public hearing was originally opened on December 9, 2024. Council discussed feedback at a Committee of the Whole meeting held on December 17, 2024. A follow-up Q&A session was held on January 14, 2025. Input gathered from residents and stakeholders during this time will be used to inform proposed changes for the 2nd and 3rd readings of Bylaw No. 2000.

How can I participate?

You can share your thoughts on the bylaw in two ways:

  • Submit a presentation – Contact the Chief Administrative Officer by April 21, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.

Both written and verbal presentations are accepted.
