Asphalt Overlay Program

2025 Asphalt Overlay Program

The Town of Fort Macleod is always working to keep our roads in great shape, focusing on high-traffic areas for regular maintenance like pothole repairs and larger patching jobs. We also run an annual road resurfacing program to keep things smooth, where we replace the top layer of asphalt based on things like road condition, safety, and maintenance needs.

In 2025, we have two asphalt overlay projects lined up! The first will resurface a section of Colonel Macleod Blvd (24th Street) just east of 6th Avenue. This project will also include adding curbing on the south side along the islands and installing a new rolled curb at the AHS Ambulance Bay entrance.

The second project is at 26th Street and 6th Avenue, where the apron from 26th Street to 6th Avenue will be resurfaced.

While we’re still finalizing the exact dates, we’ll keep you posted on progress. Thanks for your patience as we continue to improve our town’s roads!
